Just moved to California and ....a ... uh...friend... wants to know what needs to be said to a physician in order to get a prescription. My...uh...friend... has no terminal problems, but could probably use anxiety, or stress or something like that for a reason. Despite the hatred I have for those that use the medical purposes just for personal use, it is overridden by my hatred of the drug laws in this country.
First off there always is a large group of pseudo doctors who will write a script for anyone for almost any reason. Typically all you must do is find a club and ask for a Doctors refferal. They will hook you up with a Doctor that will write you a script for a 100.00 consultation fee or whatnot. You will then need to take that script down to your county offices to get a valid CA medical marijuana state issued card. Without such a card your script is worth less than the paper it is written on.
If you can not find a club, find a few of the assorted marijuana forums that have medical use areas. Inside there you will typically find refferals to doctors in any given area. -

One word.. Humboldt. if you live there... its nearly the law to HAVE your card.... so... if youre up north...check it out....
But as ASM said... find a true reason, anxiety in some cases has relevant symptom that marijuana can help. But dont get it so you dont have to worry about the man. Save it for someone that needs it

1) you need to own a california ID
2) go see a chiropractor, tell him you have some back/neck pain....see him for a couple of weeks at least 2x a week
3) after that second week, get a photocopy from his office of your medical records with him, showing you are seeing him for pain and a record of your visits with him
4) find the nearest medicann office or other doctor that can prescribe, (if you have no medicann office nearby) and make an appointment to see him

5) at your appointment, bring a copy of your chiropractor visits...and tell the doctor you have "chronic pain"...tell him you see a chiropractor because you prefer alternative treatments...tell him you dont want to take pills for your pain & thats why you're seeking a prescription, because you believe in "natural" healing
6) enjoy your prescription!!
chronic pain is best to have because its something that can't be diagnosed. if you say you have pain, you have pain
seeing a chiropractor shows you are a practitioner of alternative healing as opposed to pharmecutical healing & its a golden ticket to a prescription
hopefully that helps with your lower back pain!!!

Mine actually came from a real doctor. Hell the county office actually was shocked and said wow yours is the first real doctors prescription we have seen. Then backtracked and said well not real doctor but... Im like yeah I know what you mean.
Seriously though just find one of the many doctors that will write a script for the consultation fee. The state does not check up on the why's and the whatnots. I just can not stress it enough. YOU MUST TAKE YOUR SCRIPT AND GET A STATE ISSUED LICENSED CARD. Otherwise you are still breaking the law and can get butt fucked and end up serving a 10 to life sentance.
Trust me I helped pass this damn law, I also was charged by the US Government for Conspiracy charges and fought and won a ten to life sentance just for helping out with this issue. This goes beyond being detained twice in San Fran, handcuffed and sprawlled out on the floor by jackbooted thugs while they searched the place for 2+ hours to only let us go with no tickets or charges. Yes my paralyzed ass on the floor after being dumped out of my chair developing pressure sores along with many chronically sick people including many AIDs patients.Comment

I have double and triple checked. But for what its worth when I get back to SF I will get one. Los Angeles doesnt recognize the card yet so it really wouldnt matter. You need your letter on you.
