Hug your fathers. My father died when I was 16. He died at home in the kitchen of a massive heart attack. he had just come home from the hospital, and I dont remember the last time that I was able to hug him.

While he was laying on the floor in the kitchen, and we were doing cpr, we all too a sec to sort of hug him and tell him that we loved him.

He was pronounced deal at 11:34pm that night.

HUG YOUR FATHER!

I never hug my dad or shake his hand. He usually stops by once a week though, so I see him often.

Roby 08-10-2007 09:15 AM

some times not very often

Helix 08-10-2007 09:30 AM

Always a big hug :)

eroswebmaster 08-10-2007 09:32 AM

I still kiss my dad on the cheek on occasion. He's 68, and not in the best of health, I honestly think he has maybe two years left, if he lives that long it will be a gift.

I also speak to him for about 1-2 hours a night. I lost my mother, and have so much damn guilt over that, I don't want the same thing with my dad.

Peaches 08-10-2007 09:37 AM

My brother is SO not a hugger (he gets that from my mother). My Dad and I OTOH, are big huggers. I think we've both hugged my brother here and there but it's kinda awkward :)

PaulB IYP 08-10-2007 09:41 AM

hug my mom and sisters, shake fathers hand....i dont really understand all this male/male hugging...especially now with all the hiphop guys grabbing the hand and then hugging...wtf...worst part of that is so many non hiphoppers are doing it now

Bex 08-10-2007 09:41 AM

Absolutely I hug my dad!

Drake 08-10-2007 01:54 PM

Yeah, that pretty much sums things up for me too but then I am not a guy.

pussyluver 08-13-2007 04:50 AM

Lost both my parents years ago. Yeah I wish my dad were around to hug. When he was alive we were close and hugged on occasion. Lost him way to early. :(

J. Falcon 08-13-2007 04:51 AM

I hug everybody

zand_stein 08-13-2007 04:51 AM

yaH I always hug my day

gandalfuy 08-13-2007 06:49 AM

of course!

baddog 08-13-2007 12:58 PM

My son hugs me.

I don't think I have ever shaken my dad's hand, so if anything, it would be a hug.

LAJ, you're right on. I couldn't shake my dad's hand, that's way too strange. I mean, it's Dad we're talking about, not just some dude.

Yup, it would be like hugging your dentist.

gangbangjoe 08-14-2007 04:00 AM

he deserves that

ronaldo 08-14-2007 04:50 AM

Neither of my parents are very affectionate, so no. I think my parents and I have said "I love you" 2 or 3 times in our life. We tell our kids that every day and give them hugs, but I've still got more of my dad in me than I thought possible. Hopefully when my son is older he'll have no reservations about hugging me, but who knows.

HorseShit 08-14-2007 05:03 AM

I realize now that I'm probably not the nicest I could act towards my dad, I think I sometimes come off as being annoyed when he calls me etc. You never know how long your parents will be around for, I'm going to change this

So, are you a hugger or a shaker with your dad?

sometimes i do. depends on the moment.

jigg 08-14-2007 04:20 PM

munki 08-14-2007 04:22 PM

tg989 08-14-2007 04:26 PM

Aquarius 08-14-2007 04:28 PM

MikeVega 08-14-2007 04:38 PM

So why not hug your son all the time now so that he knows it is okay to hug you? I can't imagine not being told that my parents love me, I admit.

zand_stein 08-15-2007 03:51 AM

none............
i dont do either of the two.........
dont have a dad...........
so patetic am i...........
your so bless coz you have one.............

nation-x 08-15-2007 03:56 AM

I always hug my Dad... and I hug my close friends too. There is nothing homosexual about loving other men... in fact, if I think you are straight and afraid to hug other men then you are just a little homosexual.

We hug both our son and daughter AND tell them "I love you" every day. Those are things I didn't get as a child and make a conscious effort to make sure my kids do. But I'm not sure that "Breaking the cycle" is as easy as that. Like I said, I have more of my Dad in me than I ever thought possible and unfortunately some of that could rub off on my son and he could find himself distant and unaffectionate one day. Seeing the person he is today, my wife and I HIGHLY doubt that, but who's to say what he'll be like in 10 or 20 years. Laying the groundwork is all we can do.

i would love to hug my pops but hes a punk, so if i saw him, i would probably snuff him. i save all the hugs for my mother. lesson learned was how to not leave my kids behind when i have some.

zand_stein 08-16-2007 05:03 AM

yah.theres nothing wrong with that.
i love my parents so much........
