More DRAMA? WARNING - Videocontentsource are SCAMMERS - all details in here!!!
OK - time to give out some details about Videocontentsource (VCS) - one of the biggest scammers i met (virtually) in this business.
This is how it went:
End of April this year someone contacted me asking if it is ok that VCS is selling exclusive DVD licenses for my content. I was quite surprised cause that is of course NOT ok.
They even used my trailers from my shop and put them on their own server:
Of course i contacted them immediately and they tried to sell me some bullshit story about where they bought the content blablabla.. they even showed me a faked invoice. at that time i believed their story and thought they were scammed just like me.
Then i started searching through my old emails and found out how they got my content (20 b/g scenes):
Last year in August a guy named Daniel P. bought that content from me and asked me for videos in higher resolution. I sent it to him - with a license for web usage. nowhere in that deal were resell rights of any kind mentioned. but he did one mistake, he used the epass address of VCS to pay me - so i found out now that they were just trying to bullshit me about someone else selling the content to them.
I sent them a C&D plus an agreement that they have to pay me ?20,000 for the content. VCS admitted that they scammed me and agreed to pay.
Now it's August and obviously they preferred to close their site and run - instead of paying me.
And also what they said about selling my stuff - that they tried but got caught on the first try - turned out not to be true. I know at least 2 clients so far that bought MY content from VCS and paid good money for DVD licenses. We're speaking about at least $15,000 damage for me here...
Another funny thing:
If anyone remembers "VanessaG" here on GFY - she was, or still is, the girlfriend of Daniel P. - they ran a company together. So if anyone bought content from them chances are good it's not legit either.
And then there's another nick on GFY - HotChocolate - http://www.gfy.com/member.php?u=41603
he's a friend, business partner or even fake nick of "Dirk" of VCS. And VCS Dirk is probably no one else than Daniel P.
So - i got Daniel P's address in Spain but since he's probably reading this I'm not gonna tell what my next steps are. But he will notice, that's sure.
