i vote #2 ftw

#2 got my vote. Good looking, good balance between elements and handy.

I say #3 by a long shot...

Reasons...

1) The search is much more prominent
2) The header colors are much more appealing, easy to read, and draw your eye to their content better
3) The login is more prominent, which makes me want to either login or register if i don't have an account
4) The banner at the top has a space just for it, without anything taking away ... meaning you will probably see better results, on a CPC basis
5) The flow between updates and top 10 are much better differentiated, with the other layouts, they merge too much together....
6) The spotlight is a very nice feature

the list goes on...


Seriously #3 is really nice, go with it and don't look back..

i vote 3 - i like the layout. Its easy to find stuff - as its on the same page. Even though # 1 is less cluttered.. i still think surfers like to have visual acceess to specific sections or content and a link to those sections just doesn't do it.

Atm I prefer #2 but with a better logo I'd def pick #3. The clean edges make it easier on the eyes. Also for #3 I think a darker left or middle column would look better.

Like i said i feel like 2 is cool to look at but not as practical or appealing to the masses.

Go with 2 or 3. Based on the voting I think #1 is definitely out of the running.

Obviously 1 is out of there, need the 3rd column.

But yeah i think im going 3
