By Jeremy Kirk, IDG News Service: A porn publisher is suing Microsoft for putting links and images of the company?s content in its MSN image search results.

The company, Perfect 10, previously lost a similar suit seeking injunctions against Google and Amazon.com and its subsidiary search engine, A9.com, over alleged copyright infringement, but Perfect 10 is appealing that decision.

The latest suit, filed in US District Court, Central District of California, alleges that Microsoft?s MSN image search feature creates unauthorised thumbnails of content owned by Perfect 10 and includes links to see full-size versions of the images for free.

The suit also says Microsoft?s MSN search engine can find passwords that have been improperly posted on other websites and enable access to Perfect 10?s website. Microsoft also takes advertising money from websites that have stolen Perfect 10 images, according to the lawsuit.

Uhm, we all need to write Perfect 10 and tell them about these other places called "torrents" or even better about "tube" sites.

They're just hoping that Microsoft will settle out of court so they can make some easy money... it ain't gonna happen.

Seems to me like these guys keep trying to bite off way more than they can chew. Good luck taking on MS. It will probably go just as well as when they tried to take on Google...

Aiming for the companies who have armies of some of the best lawyers on the planet... smart.

At least they are smart enough to start suing the places with the money. Granted its choice might have been a little too well funded, but still. Better than suing companies that don't have shit for assets.
