Reception of Porn (from John and Jane Doe)
I noticed at the weekend just how different people's reception of/reaction to porn can be...
At a house party, somebody found it amusing to start a porno on the computer that played all the music... Sheer shock was the reaction from most of the partygoers (in their mid 20's) as if they'd never seen a porno before, chicks were looking disgusted, shouting in the crowd to turn "that loathsome stuff off" and acting like 10 year olds... As obviously nobody dared to touch the machine, I finally stopped the vid and thought to myself "what the fuck is wrong with those people?" Topic of discussion for the rest of the night was speculation on who was the culprit, totally ridiculous... Among others, this was one of the boldest reactions of hypocritial prudishness I've experienced... What are your experiences with people's reactions to porn who don't deal with it on a daily basis? Or are we all just too blunted already? |
