how did Google find me so fast?
I'm STILL in the process of creating my site... the domains been active for 10 days, and I have never posted it anywhere online.
I checked the logs today, and my site has already been crawled. So how did Google find me? ![]() |

If you have back links with some keywords within it... Google will use that to index the same way as your meta title tag would be used... because Google places back links high in their books and say back links are really good indicators on the subject matter... so they use such when they cannot find any meta tags or text on a site...
Type in your domain into Google to find how its listed as ... See what the Title and Description says ... Good luck and welcome to GFY !, .

If you have the Google Toolbar, and the Page Rank feature is enabled... if you browse your site, Google will check for the PR, so he will now know the domain. Then I guess it add it to the list and then spider your site!

Did not know that... however Google does need something for a title, never mind the description, as to have a listing displayed within googles pages...

Thanks for the suggestions.
The domain is a brand new domain w/no prior history in Google. Now, both the .net and .com version are on google. Interestingly enough, the .net version was the one Google found and indexed. I'm building a large network in 2 to 3 months, so I guess this initial *test* website will help me get all the other sites spidered in no time |
