Surfers Don't Get Sick of Seeing ADult Dating Ads?
Almost every blog has one of those adult dating ads that leads to fling.com, aff.com, etc. The ones in particular I'm pointing to are the geo-targeted ones with the individual pictures. You see that on sooo many blogs. I wanted to add that to my blog, but I just get tired of seeing that myself. And I wonder if the surfers feel the same? What is a better option? Will a adult dating site banner ad not work as well?

Actually, if you use a banner that isn't seen everywhere, you should get more clicks.
If you have the skill, make your own. |

I find they don't do as well anymore on TGP's, but on blogs with mainly SE traffic they still have a pretty high click rate.

I tested your theory and found that the geo targeted pics still beat the banners on all my efforts. Logically I would agree with you. In practice and my testing says otherwise. Go figure? That holds even on redirected traffic where the surfer saw similar ads. Surprised by a lot of things. That's why it is important to measure results with Analytics and other tools (like conversions from sponsor stats).. |
