Smart Surfers? OnMouseover tricks ..

I'm working on a new project, and now i'm designing the freehosted galleries engine. I noticed that the Soulcash galleries have onmouseover tricks on the hrefs.

Do this tricks improve clicks to the sites ? Is it better to do a mouseover and put something like

http://www.mysitewhatever.com

on the statusbar instead of

http://www.mysitewhatever.com/click....parent=2192983

Is the average porn surfer smart enough to notice that we (at least some of you ) make money ?

Thanks

Patrick

mouseover is better, but a lot of TGPs don't allow it

As a newbie surfer I used to cut out all the shit after the domain name... so if it went to domain.com/go/fuck/yourself, or domain.com?refcode=123, I would alway put domain.com in the url to see where it went... I'm sure a lot of others do the same thing... I did it mainly to feel more secure... I would never give personal info unless I arrived to the site by typing in the domain.com in my browser... I didn't know anything about ref codes back then... I'm sure hiding the ref code helps...
