Beckham opts out of Todays game!! - GoFuckYourself.com

What The Fuck!!! It's days like today that Make me happy I didn't pay the $500-$1000 asked of me from people selling tickets to todays game, instead I got my buddies season tickets for todays game for $30 since he was on vacation. But certainly there are gonna be ALOT of pissed off people today in Toronto since they paid big money for tickets.

I expect stuff to get thrown at Beckham once he comes out and just sits on the bench. I can assure it, after he's refusing to play. It really sucks that he's starting his MLS career like this because he isn't gaining any fans, but rather the opposite. I understand that he's hurt and all but they shouldn't go until the last day playing the guessing game. When your ankle is hurt its hurt, and you know just from walking on it that it wont be good to play on, so why keep on the guessing game driving up ticket prices.. Meh, money rules & so does publicity.

Anyone else going to todays game in Toronto?

he's injured - as somebody i heard say about this 'this isn't some Celine Dion concert - it's sports - nobody deserves a refund or a raincheck'.

douchebags who go to sports events cuz it's the cool thing to do suck - i'm glad there will be lots of them who spent a grand and didn't get to tell all their friends they saw Beckham play.

The fact is he shouldnt be playing guessing games with the injury. A ankle injury isnt like that, where it can be hurting one day and fine the next. I broke my ankle and have had a sever sprain in the other one, It takes a long time to heal and though it may feel fine to play on at first just with a little pain it will end up spraining again after some intense play. Which is exactly why he shouldnt even be doing the "day to day" thing that they put in the media. It's just to sell more tickets, they know well in advance that he won't play.

& people who pay crazy prices just to say they saw him play are idiots lol but nonetheless the MLS shouldn't take advantage of retards lol

I'm pretty sure the LAST thing on the coach's mind are the fans.

If someone is hurt, the strategy is to NOT let anyone know until game time... this keeps the OTHER team off guard, because it IS a game afterall, not a Beckham lovefest...
