yes they were and I am not saying that he isn't an asshole for breaking the law he is they all are fuck all the millionaire babies who don't think they have to follow the same rules as the rest of us but steroids where not on the banned substance list until 2002 so as it pertains to baseball anyone using was not cheating.

Good for you, but it still doesn't change the fact that you don't know as much as you think you do, regarding my age or this issue, and that you have a complete inability to engage in a conversation or debate without getting butt hurt...

I can engage in coversation fine. When I present facts and you continue to be an ass, yeah I have an issue. I'm not posting for my health Einstien.

I'm watching for it, but I think he'll save the record breaker for a home game.

It's a video that will be played for decades. His image needs the crowd to be going crazy.

Babe Ruth was known coke head and I know that coke definitely is a performance enhancing drug so all of his stats should be deleted from the records and he should be removed from the hall of fame

this is true but it doesn't add much to Bonds' case as the legitimate home run king of all time - pitchers are not helped anywhere near directly as much as a home run hitter is by the use of steroids. Bulking up a pitcher's arm isn't going to make him put 5 miles on his fastball or make his breaking ball break better - Bonds' record will be a function of two benefits of his steroid use - the ability for his body at an advanced baseball age to recover better and to train harder prolonging his career and the muscle bulk it puts on has a direct effect on his ability to hit home runs - power. Without steroids Bonds would never have been anywhere close to this record. He is not facing superior pitching to what Aaron did in his day - in Aaron's day there were 4 man pitching staffs, practically every team had at least 2 aces, some had 4 20 game winners - pitching depth sucks in major league baseball today - Bonds is hitting against a lot of guys who should not be in the major leagues.
on the other hand in Aaron's day relief pitching wasn't as specialized, there were no guys groomed to be closers.

Without steroids Bonds would not be within 150 homers of the record - and no even with pitchers using chemicals today Bonds is not facing superior pitching relatively to what Aaron faced.

The media hates Bonds - with good reason. But I hope that when Alex Rodriguez breaks Bonds record they don't forget that most of A Rod's career has been smack in the center of the steroid era.

I respect your opinion, and even though I disagree with it I appreciate the fact that you made it without resorting to name calling. There are some others in this thread that should take your cue.

A big part of my argument would also be your second point, where you stated the lack of specialists is Aaron's day. I honestly believe if you take both factors into consideration, as well as the fact that there were many elite pitchers in Aaron's era that suffered injuries and had to retire, whereas today they can have Tommy John surgery and gain a few MPH on their fastball, that you can say it was at minimum a wash....

Please show me where I have been an ass. I simply stated my opinion, as did you. If you believe that anything you stated is fact, other than opinion, then you must have figured out what the entire baseball establishment has not.

Fuck you dude. YOU were the one giving me a history lesson on how things were in the 80's. YOU start shit by talking to me like some 22 year old punk in here that can barely remember the early 90's. Talk about lack of respect. Want to give me a refresher on the 70's? Hey the 30th anniversary of Elvis's death is coming up. Want to tell me about that? Wait I can actually remember what I was fucking doing that day when I found out.

Wow, you certainly are an angry little fella. You are five years older than me, so stop acting like you are Yoda. If that is your idea of talking shit then you must spend your whole life yelling at the TV and anyone with a dissenting opinion.

Pitchers DO use and have been using steroids.

Steroids can help a pitcher increase their throw by around 5 mph (i know 2 minor leaguers that use steroids right now)...

More importantly than the speed / strength is the physical recovery that steroids help pitchers with. Nandrolones also lubricate joints on top of that.

To think that only hitters are using the sauce is stupid, I'm willing to bet 95% of players in professional sports use gear. When your job depends on you being better than everyone else, you make sure you are.

Just saw the tape of Bonds hitting 755 on the news.

As when he has broken other records, only his son greeted him at the plate - no doubt upon orders from Bonds himself (normally the entire team would be lined up at home plate for such an occasion).

I hate egotistical assholes like Bonds - he reminds me of:

Too bad that Barry never learned the humility, sportsmanship, and team behavior of his father.
