i posted about this months ago and got almost zero feedback - this site needs to be taken fucking down by this industry - http://www.megarotic.com - it's the worst I've seen for copyright theft and it's traffic is huge. It needs to be taken down - legally or illegally

but i guess this won't be discussed at the upcoming brovention - that would be asking too much. let's discuss trading exits and the latest scam/spam techniques.

depressing - right in the toilet this business is going - a perfect storm has been forming for awhile to pretty much end this industry as a profitable one.

Yeah I was quite shoked when pornotube.com came out 1 year ago or so and seemed to gain industry recognition.

It's funny how the industry changed, when I was a surfer, I was circle-jerked to death trying to see some nude teen pictures on the web for free.

One site actually had some wording that went in the lines of "as you can see you can never get really any porn for free.. All sites tell "click here to enlarge" but they only redirect you to other sites. If you want porn, you have to pay." And... I believed them So when I found some 8 seconds poor quality sex video, I really enjoyed it. Ok that was in 1999.

Then 3 years later I came into this biz and also discovered already all the free porn with TGP's.... But even the TGP's weren't really supported by anyone. I remember an interview with Lensman from 2002/2003 or so where he said he doesn't really support the concept of offering too much free porn to the surfer... Well, 2 years later,. Lensman came up with Realitycash, a program designed for TGP traffic in particular.... And then also came all the MGP's... and they started to offer even longer free movies as time went by...

And now in 2007 we all wish that free porn was only available on TGP's/MGP's....

Sites like Megarotic offer 10 full time videos for a surfer to watch for free, that's like 2 hours high quality free porn every day, no one needs more. In my case, I have an dynamic IP, after I watch 10 vids there, then disconecting and connecting to the web again is enough to reset my limit. Anyway, people who discover such sites, are lost customers for good. You can only sell webcams or dating to them. Dating should work better probably... and that's why Megarotic promotes dating and poker....

And then we got all the tprrents...

I really wonder how this industry will look in say 3-5 years.


The average conversion ratio, with the exception of Google traffic searching for micro-niches or paysite names, will be probably 1 sale for every 10,000 uniques sent.

pathetic - the truth is that 90% of people on here have never paid a dime for content and are scam artists themselves - nothing interests them about the future of this industry because they are scammers/spammers and scammers never think long term.

Megarotic has full length movies from all the top programs - and now I see they have the balls to charge surfers for a Premium Membership. They also want to make deals with content providers - for chump change - this is the 'ITunes' solution - surrender to the thieves and charge people next to nothing. People will say use sites like Megarotic - adapt - fuck that, making a deal with the Devil is never a solution. There are two solutions - one is the legal solution and the other is to DDOS them into oblivion.

How do i know its stolen? Im not talking about a 55 minute scene with bangbros printed in the corner (by the way you you tag all your content) Im talking about a 3-4 minute clip that could be used as legitimate promotional material. Please go through my site. I dont have any obvious "members area content" and if i do, its there by mistake and will be removed once prompted. I have done alot to clean up my site, we dont allow users to post rapidshare links to anything other then amateur content anymore, we dont allow users to upload anything at all onto the site anymore. We will delete and ban any user that posts full scenes from a paysite. I am not legally abliged to do that but i do because the more free content on my site, the lower my conversions get.

This is a fact: it is not the sites responsibility to know if content is copyrighted. It is the user who uploads it, therefore they are protected by dmca legislation and as long as they remove the content once a complain has been made there is nothing you can do to the likes of pornotube, xtube, megarotic etc etc. Anyone embedding a video is protected by the same because they can also assume that the content is free to embed because they signed that they own the copyright.

also, if programs offered embed content i would use it exclusively but at the moment about 5% of programs offer this and it is much needed. Especially for sites like mine, bloggers and the huge increase in viral video sites.

agreed. i've martyred this industry through a few issues also. i'm done preaching to people that don't want to hear or don't think its affecting them when it is. now, i just take care of those paying me and silently pursue those that attempt to damage that. got a few prosecutions going on right now. my suggestion is that everyone take accountability for their own resources and assets and protect them because the chances of the industry uniting in any kind of way are minuscule.

In the end it comes down to this...irregardless of what everyone would like to believe, the adult industry attracts a disproportionate amount of shady people with piss poor work ethics and even poorer business ethics. It's hard to untie the "get rich quick" mindset individuals in here and expect them to do anything to protect themselves if it actually involves doing any amount of work to achieve it. Unlike most in here I have been arrested and jailed more times than I can count to fight for my right to exist and operate, and I'm slowly taking the mindset to do what is best for myself.
