A lot of those types jumped the gun. They constantly believe success is imminent, so they start posting like they are already there.

That, and people are afraid to admit they are a small webmaster. There is nothing wrong with doing this on the side or it just being a hobby. Nor should it be taboo here for a regular to ask for help. If noobs and struggling webmasters would admit who they are, they'd probably get more out of these boards than they do pretending to drive a Porsche.

Some people feel the need to look successful, whether they are or not. My old roommate has a nice car, couple of nice bikes, a nice house and all kinds of shit he doesn't need. He's also in debt so far that he will probably be bankrupt inside a couple years. The only reason he hasn't yet is because his girlfriend is a stripper at a nice tittie bar.
