Hope you guys know that you are paying that extreme premium just to have the "hype" of a CDN.
When downloading the file, I was downloading off a Cogent IP and network... so your CDN provider is using Cogent bandwidth and charging you $20+/Mbit...

Have fun with that.

Yes the CDN has many different IP's, with every is first to get your request will be what feeds you. Thanks for the info

getting a very weak 280KB/s in Atlanta

I normally average 1500-2000KB/s with a peak at 2200KB's so thats about 10%

Also tried from our datacenter and got 440KB/s, thats pretty shitty for a CDN.

I do not know how much you are paying for this bandwidth but I hope it is not much. I am averaging around 400K and I normally get 2.5-3.0 megs a second from my home connection. I suggest moving again.

www.advection.net... doesn't look cheap.

I checked from a server connected at 1gbps hanging off our core routers, can only pull 10mbps... weak

well, looks like if areas in southern canada are your target market that CDN rocks, otherwise it's terrible
