What's wrong with being famous and getting press for your good looks and for having a sex tape? I don't see how webmasters can criticize someone for using sex or their sex appeal in order to make a lot of money. Webmasters do loads of shit to try and make money and I doubt many make 7 mil a year. Any publicity is good. Publicity and press is better than no publicity.

To be perfectly honest, I have to admit that releasing a sex tape to become famous is genius. It's a good way to get a lot of instant publicity and it is POSSIBLE to catapult into world-wide fame because of it.

I see Kim is already getting paid to do public appearances like Paris is (Paris btw gets over 100k per appearance). I read that Paris' granddaddy cut her out of his will but it doesn't matter anyway because she makes 7 mil a year by HERSELF, she even got paid 1 mil once for an appearance for Bondi beer in Australia.

I don't see how people can criticize "socialites" for "making money for doing nothing" and "not contributing to society" when webmasters are pretty much the same. Most webmasters would do ANYTHING to make loads of money, you know it's ALL about the money, they would sell their own mother for money. I thought webmasters were ALL about the money, how can you criticize someone for using all they got (looks and sex appeal) in order to milk it? Most "average people in America" would probably also think of webmasters as "not contributing to society", how can you judge Kim and Paris?

The sex tape route is awesome and ingenius. Getting paid 1 mil for an appearance like Paris sure beats submitting galleries or updating some tgp (and I think this is Kim's intent, to become a brand like Paris, where she herself will be the brand). This can easily expand into other avenues such as having a clothing line, perfume, etc

I think the whole "celebutante" ideal is more a commentary on how boneheaded the general public has become for allowing tabloid trash news to overshadow real news over the past 10-20 years or so. Yea, Kim is profiting from the sex tape. I follow papparazi news daily and she was just in Washington I think to do some promotions for a club or a paid appearance. And she also walked the runway for Christian Audigier right after the tape broke plus she landed a modeling campaign for some other clothing line, I can't remember the name of it right now.

Plus it gave her more publicity for her clothing store, she's been on E showing off the goods in her store etc.
