    PPS+Chargeback? wtf???

I've never had a chargeback from a PPS program REVShare sure but never pps....

I actually didn't even know that programs took back payouts when a charge back/refund happened with a PPS sale.

Anyone else think that's kinda lame?

Some programs do it, some don't. Personally, I think it's fair. Chargebacks cost the site money.

yeah but with a PPS program I think it's pretty fair to payout anyway. The "rules" are different with PPS imo...

btw, the program in question is Incredible Dollars

we do it, but only 25 bucks.

we lose the money we paid you, PLUS the cb fee.

why should i eat the 37 bucks for your pps plus the 25 bucks for the cb itself???

so i am to lose $50+ just becuase you thinks its lame?

          dont think so

We all know many pps programs have several cross sales (er value added). They also may have not the very best in members areas, plenty of upsales and many other gizmo's that piss the living hell out of a buyer. Sure they are not all that way but many are.

Now joe surfer buys a free or 1.00 trial. You get paid. You should be done. But no, joe surfer gets his cc statement and it has a bill for 97.50. Few missed pre-checked cross sales on free trials that upgraded, etc. He calls visa and says WTF! and viola they all get erased. Now who's fault is it, I mean is it the affiliates?

Only way you can say yes if if you think the affiliates are to blame for demanding higher PPS payouts.

I think as an affiliate, you become a business partner... I mean, what else would you describe a 50/50 per sale deal as?
PPS even more so as you're making more than what the sale is... if they don't rebill.

Therefore, if you send a customer that does a chargeback, as a business partner, you should also be responsible for recouping your share of that cost.

cross sales are irrelevant if they are unchecked

exactly, you brought the customer but the customer you brought has chargebacked, yet you should keep the money when the program loses all of it + the cb fee?

dont think so, how is that fair?

because it's a PAY PER SIGN UP program. not a revshare. I'm fine with charge backs on revshare programs I did my part and brought the SIGN UP.

It's not my fault their members area didn't make that guy happy

its not, but affiliates are whiny little bitches and want you to hand them everything ona silver platter.

they demand the world and give shit in return but headaches usually.

programs have trained affiliates this way though. its not even the affiliates fault. programs are ruining this industry almost as much as the idiots giving away tons of free porn

ok, so its just the member sarea to blame?

it cant be the fact you sent a shitty sale becuae they are trained at charging back?

you take 0 responsibilty is what you are sayingg. all your sales are top notch people that dont ever try and fuck over the system by charging back?

Well then that would be different. I have seen some with 3 pre checked.

Seriously though if it is not actual fraud or even apparent fraud, why should the affiliate eat it?

Then again I do very little PPS anymore so I am used to splitting chargebacks.

But as you said earlier affiliate programs have trained the affiliates that way.

In case if you don't recall, you attempted very similar things to try to extort free hosting because you felt you were not getting 'as good of service' as you would, when you were on your very own budget plan because you couldn't afford a full plan.

I don't doubt you had a join; I just doubt any legitimacy within it.

We take the risk of conversions on a PPS, that doesn't mean we take
the risk of having a fraudulent transaction run through our system.

You can contact me direct and I can disclose the entire join record for you straight from NATS. I do not want to disclose any more details about the transaction in public, however a chargeback did occur extremely quick, within the first day of the join.

All affiliates run into fraud at times, we understand this and ask that everyone realize we cannot pay out on these joins. We eat the $20+ for a chargeback fee, the processing fees (which do not get refunded), and the risk of loosing one of our merchant accounts.

We have advanced systems in place for Fraud Defense and one of the best customer service call centers working 24/7 by Phone, Live Chat, and Email. Sometimes even with all of the measures in place fraud can slip through the cracks and get into our system. I assure you this is very rare and we deal with fraud in a very serious manner.

I hope that this isolated incident does not tarnish your outlook on us as an affiliate program, we work very hard to please our affiliates. Please do not hesitate to contact anyone from the Incredible Dollars Team if you have any questions or concerns.

I handled system support email for a few clients, but at the time, this would have been t2.

"Extortion" is a bit strong of a term; perhaps the 'I don't feel I should have to pay because..' is a much more apropos statement. Extortion implies malice. I don't think your intent is directly malice.

I've managed to find/recover 3 of your emails from the sixblack domain from Q3/06, and although all of them were where you were complaining about your custom budget P3 hosting plan, none of them were directly implying that you'd go to GFY and complain.

they demand the world and give shit in return but headaches usually.

programs have trained affiliates this way though. its not even the affiliates fault. programs are ruining this industry almost as much as the idiots giving away tons of free porn
