I don't like to generalize, but I have to call it like I see it. I've had interactions for extended periods with several different Russians in the past 15 years. They were mostly sneaky and always working some kind of angle or agenda. I have 2 in my condo complex (of 12 units), that everyone hates and has constant problems with.
My father in law is a doctor and has also had some problems with a few Russian scammers. Is all of this a coincidence?
Let me tell you a little fucked up story about my last office job. I had an underling of the Russian persuasion who happened to be a scamming, lazy bastard who made friends with the entire office while I did all the work. I couldn't get rid of him though, because he was also jewish(the big boss was jewish) He was fucking ugly too. Did I say that before?
He pulled off a slow, masterful coup de'grace to take my department over a period of about 3 years. I won't go into details, but I'll say that he's definitely read the Art of War.
I got tired of telling my superiors he was no good, so I finally left. He's probably working on the next guy up the ladder. I warned his dumb ass, but he didn't listen to me. On the bright side, I've found out recently that my old department sucks ass now. Being missed is the best revenge. Thanks for listening, I haven't really talked about this shit since it happened.
The only thing only useful thing my dad ever told me was "never trust a Russian". He also told me that all girls look the same if you turn 'em upside down.
If you're Russian and not a criminal, please don't take offense. How can I have so many first hand experiences, and reliable second hand stories if the majority of Russians don't live up to the stereotypes?Last edited by bronco67; 07-27-2007, 12:40 PM.

I don't go around trying to get something for nothing. Someone basically came into my house and tried to take what I built. He created a perception of value without actually having any. I'm not a really a people person. I'm very talented at what I do and I work my ass off.
I'm smart enough to know exaclty what was happening as it was going down. I just chose not to play the game. I'm better off now, making my own hours and not having to deal with little punks with a sense of entitlement nipping at my heels.
I should thank he little shit for creating the drive in me to make a living without a boss.

First, these stats need to be taken in balance with others - they are not caste in stone. And, tho agree to a level, there may be proxy server abuse by Russians and others in the same way any Euro country can have abuse.
Russian organized crime groups have been linked to various scams, but the same applies to US organized crime - they all play the same games.
Forgetting proxy scams, other offenses eg CP are show similar percentages in that, 62% of commercial child abuse imagery is hosted in US (forgetting "shared resources" among like-minded people), and, to throw out the percentages on these stats, 28% commercial child imagery is hosted in Russia - basically 90% of all commercial CP content is hosted in the US and Russia.Comment

Do you ever see Russians talking about Americans on the internet? They hate Americans and will do anything to fuck them over. They say it out in the open. "we're here to scam every American we can get".
They think its cool. They get bro points if they scammed yet another American or took yet another site down. They live in totally different world where scamming on the internet isnt considered a bad thing, at least not for that really, REALLY big fucking group and they will take every American Dollar they can get in any way possible. Because then they suddenly don't hate America anymore when it comes to money.
