I had it last year, my half of my left hand was numb.

I use splinted wrist wraps when it bothers me. Sleep with them for a couple of weeks and its gone for a few months. Best 30 bucks I have spent.

Actually I've been lucky thusfar, nothing carpal on me yet...
I use wrist rests for my mouse & keyboard. I'm gonna invest in an Intuos tablet pretty soon too, that makes a big difference.

My wrists/hands are fine however my shoulder burns as if someone has a fucking lit match on the muscle if I spend too much time on the computer typing and clicking.....nothing makes it better well nothing short of an all out massage

my wrists and shoulder are so fucked up, I might have to skip the bowling league again this year

sometimes even picking up my kids can be painful....

and I tend to mumble, so even speech recognition software would suck ass..

There is a kind of glove, made of Lycra, with the fingers cut out and a soft wrap for the wrist. I wear it when I'm keyboarding, which is all the time.

Carol, I also get that pain in my shoulder and half my hand goes numb and gets cold, too. But, no pain in my wrists. They feel tired, mostly my right hand. Personally, I believe it to be bursitis in my shoulder, which gets aggravated.

When it gets to that burning stage, the only answer is to minimise the amount of mousing, wheeling or keyboarding...

I am limiting my posting right now and taking a few hours off, in between marathon work sessions. :-)

Equinox, I will be hitting you up on ICQ for your exercise. Whilst I don't think I have carpal tunnel, I need the use of my hands for a little longer. :-)

Dont have Carpal Tunnel but I did have an ugly ass dark spot on the bottom of my right wrist from dragging it across the desk for years. I just scored one of those mouse pads with the clear jello in it now Im all good!

Typing doesn't seem to cause me a problem (I guess I don't do it that much) but my right hand and wrist often hurt from mouse usage. My desk setup is pretty bad (sitting at a round table!), so I can fix things if I need to.
