Hmm. Reminds me of high school. A friend and I once made "hot water" (water in which peppers have been soaked - looks the same as normal water, but it will fuck you up), then tricked another friend into eating a pepper and gave him the "water" to get rid of the burn.

I did it once many years ago on a bet. I was in HighSchool. I worked at a Price Chopper and the deli guys bet me I couldn't do it.
I can't even express the pain. I ate the seeds and all in one swallow. I never thought for a second that it would be that intense. It took well over an hour to get the pain out of my nose, mouth and chest. They took me to the meat freezer and soaked my tongue in yogurt.
I went to the bathroom later that night. It hurt so bad that I had to fill the tub with cold water and dive off the toilet.

Pain effects everyone differently. The initial stage looked sincere. You think it isn't a problem, then it slowly builds. I actually spouted off after about 30 seconds when it kicked in and said, "yep, hot, but no big deal."
30 second later my tune changed drastically. I turned red and got really quiet. I tried to hide the pain the next two minutes, but the guys knew and started escorting me to the freezer. I never really twitched around like that guy, I mostly kept breathing heavy and keeping my tongue in the yogurt, all complimented with the occasional, "Fuck this is horrible!"
I was nervous that I was going to vomit. If you vomit, you can only imagine the pain.
FYI, the hand that I used to eat the Habenero burned the entire times as well.Comment
