Do you strategically 'time' your ads & promos to...

weekends and holidays?

Just curious - I've always considered the timing of advertising/spam to coincide with peak surfer traffic (holidays, weekends, etc.) to be essential to good conversions.

i.e. - hitting up TGPs, forums and assorted venues on a Thurs/Friday to have them in place for a weekend.

For me it can make the difference between 10 or 25 signups per sponsor, so yes depending the niche/sponsor/traffic source it does make a difference (imho). I keep logs and I've actually increased my revenue by almost 20% here just recently and holding stable for almost 3 months.

Tried going back to random promos and my ratios became equally random for those same sources.

submissions to tgps and link lists around the time of the shows like internetx and phoenix are also good because if you get accepted your galleries and sits will stay listed for 2 or 3 days sometimes while the site owner is at the show

Programs tend to time their promos for the times when traffic is down... certain holidays.. weekends.. ummm.. notice how many promos there are in the summer compared to any other time?
