I havent heard of Chantix but it took me eight months wearing the patch to quit smoking for good. Youre only suppose to be on the patch for two months. I doubt that was healthy for me. It worked out. I have advice for you. I don't know about Chantix but if you still have nasty cravings go get yourself a big glass of ice water and drink the whole thing. Then a few minutes later do it again. Honestly you should drink 3 full glasses of water in a 15 minute period. You will see this knocks out the craving. Then keep drinking water throughout the day. It really helps your body. Maybe you cant do that because of the medicine but it may be good for others too.

I'm reading it now, the book is not a "magical cure" the way you're describing it, but it definitely gives a different perspective on why you should quit and some tools to deal with the psychological withdrawals.

People who read the book have a 95% success rate of quitting. This book has worked for a LOT of people.

Quitting smoking isn't the END it is the BEGINNING of something better!

That's a bullshit statistic.
He bases his success rate on how many people get their money back, because he has a money back guarantee.

Studies show that very very few people ever ask for their money back when a guarantee is offered, even if the product was total junk.

I agree that it's a good book, but you people need to get off of this guy's cock for crying out loud.

People who have trouble quitting are very weak minded and shouldnt bother trying because they are not strong enough to do so in the firstplace.

people with strong minds quit cold turkey it is the only way.

ClubAdultDesign 07-27-2007 11:37 AM

that sucks

have you tried applying chocolate rain to your cigarettes?

that might help a bit.

alby_persignup 07-27-2007 12:18 PM

I am so proud of my husband! He has gone 10 days without a cigarette. Granted, I had to hide the car keys from him on days 5 & 6, but he hasn't faltered.

For those who have mentioned alcohol, he rarely drinks so that doesn't come into play here. His drink of choice is coffee. :)
