weird browser issue *help

just today every time while im working on my site and i go to check some links
when i click on sponsors galleries i get forwarded to search-host.net and other random tgp's, and its not the site script it does it from html files from my desktop

so my browser has been hijacked i guess but i dont know what is doing it, or how to get rid of it

if any of you have gotten over similar issues please drop a line and let me know how i should do this

Go to Start, Run, and type MSCONFIG, and look for anything unusual in the StartUp tab and the Services tab. There's a checkbox on Services tab to hide legitimate Microsoft services so you can eyeball what's going on a bit easier. Anything in there you don't like you can uncheck. When you close out you'll reboot with or without whatever you checked.

Have you been to a gallery or site recently that asked you to install a codec? Seems like the same M.O. Sometimes it sends you to search results, sometimes to traffic trades on TGPs and other times, (if you click your own galleries or FHG for example) it will hijack your id.

That normally happens full-fledged in the evenings when it's not 'regular business hours' - daytime they fill their trades - nighttime they hijack sales. At least, the one I had, did that for the most part.
