Faulty slots at ceasars cause 500k loss

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070719/...s_slot_machine

this is the most ridiculous thing i have heard.

Ceasars installed a slot machine that credited users $10 for every $1 they put in.

Seems the software for the machine was faulty ( improperly set ). and they obviously didnt test it.

So now ceasars is thinking about laying charges against people who played the machine. WTF

ridiculous if its true, they would make more money laughing it off, watching all the suckers come in looking for faulty machines

What I find hard to believe is that more than one person played that machine. Who the hell would ever get up from a machine that paid out like that?

"More than two dozen people played the machine before one gambler alerted Caesars employees."

Why in the world would you alert the casino about the fact that you keep winning?

i dunno but i bet the 2 dozen other people waited outside to bootfuck him..

The person who alerted them prob only had $1 left and lost it even with the $10 extra , perhaps hoped for a reward ( that they likely didnt give him )

wierd thing is that state gambling regulators are supposed to check every slot before it goes into play , even without them the casino should have tested it at least once..

reminds me of something that happened to me actually.

they had this slot machine at my local convenience store. it worked on store credit . so for every dollar you won you got a "ticket". each ticket was redeemable for anything in the store but not cash.. so one day i go in and decide to plop my extra pocket change in the machine, and i noticed whatever you put in it gave you "DOUBLE" the credit..

so you could stick in $10 and cash out right away and get $20 in tickets.. you couldnt buy smokes or alcohol but you could buy gas.. I aksed the attendant about it and he said " i dont care" so i got $200 worth of tickets and then used them for gas
