And a message i wanted to convey is, we all can be wrong at one time or another ... so, we should keep this option open and do not think that our own knowledge, beliefs and sayings are ultimate.

dude no offense but i dont think any of the people who responded to you in the other thread claimed to be "pr experts" i also think you got bent out of shape simply because you didnt understand what the other people were saying. Most of the people weren't disagreeing with you. The guy with the million dollar bet was right , and you were also right.

youtube had what was known as a "fake pr" . Is it really fake ? no its a redirect that shows the pr of whatever page its redirected too. many people refer to this as "faking pr" , now obviously you wouldnt "fake" a lower pr so it was a mistake. you pointed out the mistake . i think most people understood both before and after what was going on , theres no need to go into some great debate about it , nor does it take any experience to understand how "pr" works and how "fake pr" works. no need to gloat over it , just explain it to the people who dont understand and if they dont agree oh well

Looks like google realized they penalized their owned site.Whatta suckers.
In digpagerank i see it's pr8 now but in seoquake search is pr3 but yet again in seoquake toolbar is pr8 so logicaly is pr8 and that pr3 is probaly cache leftover.

How about you start using the correct terms - since you seem to be propping yourself as an SEO expert - you are talking about Toolbar PR display - not PAGERANK - they are two completely different things - and you are just continuing the tradition of misleading people (especially the newer WMs who dont know any better) into thinking that they are interchangable - which just leads to the stupidity that has been going on for the last 3 years of selling buying and trading links based on what a little green bar indicates.

Why not post an educational thread that actually explains the difference to interested WMs so they can learn from your experience instead of continuing the deceitful practice of promoting the use of tools that have no bearing on a WMs site ranking in the Google search engine

I posted up the image showing youtube at PR3. You are all like "no, their PR is 8". I doesn't matter HOW the PR3 occured, but that it did occur in real life, not just one datacenter but every one of them.



The PR being returned to 8 this morning is nothing more than an indication that Google effectively broke their own rules and manual adjusted or tweaked the results of the PR update to fix things so their investment doesn't look bad.

If this can happen to youtube, how many other sites have boosted or lowered PR as a result of a Google PR algo failure?
