50 loser neighbors......

RawAlex 07-19-2007 08:29 AM

Hal, my take is this: If one neighbor complained, he is probably just a shithead not to worry about. If two complained, it's probably shithead and his friend.

At 10, you got to wonder what is going on. How many units total there?

Probably 80 or so. I'll comply and make everyone happy. :)

Hal call the media. That would make a great story. Great opportunity to plug stuff...

And I am allowed to park there for 72 hours at a time. The Board said it was no big deal as long as I wasn't just using the extra parking to store it (i'm not.)

So basically, as long as I move it every 3 days, I'm within the rules. (Which I have been doing.) I just need to change the physical parking space so that my neighbors can SEE that it is being moved.

This is great.....LOL! I don't see how it's offensive or ugly. You should move it every three days and do it about 30 minutes before the 72 hour time limit expires :thumbsup

They would shit if you put babes in bikinis on the side of it.
Wild looking rig you have there Halcyon.

Hal, I am sorry to hear about your Father passing, our condolences to you and your family.

The message he'd send out by doing that would conflict with the concept he's
expressing.

pornvue 07-19-2007 08:55 AM

oh they're just intimidated by the pinkness of your trailer!! :upsidedow:

I'm pretty sure it was his grandfather, not his father. :2 cents:

Holly 07-19-2007 09:16 AM

I guess since you're in California stuff like that is kinda the norm. But in all honesty, if you parked that next to my house, I'd be raising hell every day.

But I don't think you'd even get it down the street because I know at least 3 or 4 of my neighbors that would come out and beat the hell out of you and burn it to the ground before you ever made it to your driveway. :1orglaugh

I'm tempted to email that picture to several people in my homeowner's association and tell them I'm thinking about getting an RV, just to see what replies I'll get back. :1orglaugh

Again, my issues were not with the complaints. But with the way people "told on me" rather than contact me.
I made every effort to contact people and be neighborly. So now I'll play by the rules in an exaggerated way. (Nothing will change, I'll just be parking in different spaces when I move it every 3 days.)

Skillz Unlimited 07-19-2007 09:39 AM

Ya i live in a condo and one of my neighbors cars was towed for the same reason. The thing is, he had is parked on the street in front of the complex which is community parking. He actually moves it once a day to different parking spots along the block so it wont get towed. Ironically, it's an old thunderbird and is also pink. I happened to come home for lunch one day to witness his car being towed and the tow truck guy said the same thing, people in the building had complained. I bet if it were a brand new Bentley, or Ferrari, no one would have anything to say. It's the lifeless loosers that worry about things like this.

Fuck em - until they can prove that you are breaking the law, leave that shit right there.

Of course it is, I would expect nothing less than that from people though.

TubeTitans_SusieQ 07-19-2007 10:00 AM

how can someone complain about that, if they had something like that would they expect you to respect it? lol dumbasses

sniperwolf 07-19-2007 10:19 AM

That's a sweet ride bro.

What's her year and make?

We used to rock this bad boy back in my Chico State days. In this shot we were giving out prizes for the Chico State Jib Fest, a little snowboard competition in Tahoe.

This one is a 1972, 24' Chieftain Winnie.

Nothing but Good Times!!!

You know what Hal, it's hard to find good hearted and open minded people in this world.

People, who truly understand a guy like you and won't juge anyone colorfull, come a dime a dozen. (not sure if i said it right :winkwink:)

Keep on doing what you do mon frere, you are an inspiration to hundreds/thousands and the message you are spreading is the kindest and purest I've ever seen.

D-Money 07-19-2007 12:26 PM

Hal, that blows.

At first I couldn't believe you're getting that bad of a rap.

My take is that your neighbors don't understand who you are.

You try to educate those that aren't interested in learning more, it's a message, a movement AND a vehicle.

Keeping an open mind I had to put myself in your neighbors shoes. Snooty area of SD sums it up, I lived there, I remember. They think you're a complete weirdo with pink hair preaching a hippy thing, so they classify it as a party mobile with weed smoking and those balloons that make you dizzy mixed in with acid and shrooms. Their message is they don't want that "Greatful Dead" hippies partying near their home.

Sucks, but that's how they would stereotype you and that love mobile.

I suggest digging deeper, interview the ones that are most opposed to it and see what they say. Before telling them what it is, ask them what they think it is.

Then give me the D$ exclusive. And I'll give you 3 hugs each with 3 bro-pats.

Subtle 07-19-2007 12:45 PM

Now, those neighbours must be happy after all they are getting so much importance after complaining?

That's awesome Hal!

I was so sorry to hear he passed away, he was obviously a very special person. I watched a few of your videos and he definitely enjoyed sharing his love for others, just as you do.

I like the idea of adding some wings to the outside. Please post some pics when you've got her all dialed in.

That's what people in NYC have been doing for years - moving their cars from one side of the street to the other every day :)

You can't park boats, RVs, trailers, etc on your property in my subdivision ever. They have a free place to park them though on a first come first served basis - but no cars are allowed - just boats, RVs and trailers. Then we have a full facility campground on site but it's $10 a day and only for property owners (more people own land here than actually have a house built). If you want to drive it to GA, you can have my spot :)
