I am a bit of a blog newbie, can you give me an example of a "theme header customised to your site"?

usually what people will do is go to http://themes.wordpress.net and pick out a theme they like, and I will redo the header to match their site....I don't do an all out custom header or anything, I just make sure the header in the theme they picked out matches
