as was implied but the two posts right before mine. Try paying attention. |
Yup, this is one of those "relevant facts were not included".
Size of country. Cars per 100,000 people. Overall population. Fuel use per person per year. Very important one: Fuel use per person per year for the last 10 years. China alone has had massive increases in fuel consumption in the last 10 years. The US has issues, that is for sure, most of which have to do with things like SUVs, suburbia, and the almost total lack of public transit use by anyone outside of the lowest financial classes. |

On a per capita basis, I am not surprised in the slightest that Canada and the US use roughly the same amount of oil (unless you add in the DoD into the US stats) because we have similar setups. My point that Canada is large was made so people understand why we use cars if we live outside of the city. And on a side note, I was never saying Canada was the largest country in the world. Everyone know Russia is the biggest by a long shot.:thumbsup |
The price to fll a Honda civic in mexico is WRONG.
I am just now paying a little over that to fill my truck. |
That statistic is a little misleading, if you look at per capita gas use, US is in the same ballpark as other industrialized nations...
