    I left my wife and moved in with her mother

    for 3 days... while we quit smoking cold turkey. It worked. We split the kids and took some time away from each other...

    I've been back home for 4 days now... that's a whole week without a puff for both of us. I think we're going to pull it off this time.
    Sleep well, and dream of large women.

                  Thats a nice technique. Another one is to just not buy them, then you can't smoke them.

                      Well, of course I've stopped buying them.

                      J/k, I know what you mean... but I was one of the worst for hanging onto my habit. I could never be a "social" smoker.

                      Quitting is different for everyone... they even say it's different every time for individuals.

                              Quitting smoking is quite the Herculean task for most people, so hopefully this effort will stick. Good luck!

                                  Learn how to take new 'non smoke' breaks throughout the day. That was a big challenge for me to get that quick break I used cigs for without doing the cigs...I took up an interesting tea habit.

                                                  I've got a big bag of suckers for when I really need something... I'm doing pretty well actually Candy is my only crutch and I'm using it sparingly.

                                                                  Beef jerky is a big help too.. but way too expensive. On the other hand, I could use some of the money I'm no longer spending on smokes...
