There was history behind my tadpole comment. Roger knows it, Fletch know it, you do not.

I used to like you but you are starting to grate on my nerves tonight. From now on I think I will just call you AR-15. :)

We had 100 employees last year when we did alot of mainstream stuff and our own processing. we also do alot of audiotext.

We have about 30 right now and we are running a solid tight ship now. we had to let go the slackers and cut out the fat.

we are also hiring a few more people right now.

Now we have more money to give to the webmasters so I will be raising my payouts this month on our programs.

Question: What is the difference between the AR-15 and the M-16?

Long Answers: The AR-15 was originally created by ArmaLite. When the US military adopted the gun, it was designated the M16 rifle (the M14 and M15 being in service already, this was the next logical step in the designations). So basically the AR-15 and M16 and the variants of the two are all actually AR-15 rifles.

That said, some AR-15 rifles are selective fire and others are semi-auto only. All of the M16 series rifles are selective fire. So many people assume that the AR-15 is the semiauto variant of the gun and the M16, the selective fire. This is generally a safe bet -- but not always. In fact the very first AR-15s made were selective fire and some semiauto AR-15s have been legally converted into selective fire.

AR-15:

Civilian issue, semi-automatic .223 (5.56mm)

M-16 A-1

Non-Civlian issue select fire .223 (5.56mm)

Would you like a more in depth description or will the basics work for you?

drunkdollars 09-02-2002 12:51 AM

Once again I am not trying to "grate" any nerves
I just do not know the difference between the two guns.

From what I understood the m-16 is illegal and the ar is the legal version...

Please correct me if im wrong

OK... You are wrong.

Class 3 weapons may be owned by civilians if they jump through the hoops and qualify.

I happen to own 3 class 3 weapons. LEGALLY.

Up top the Hill.... Mulholland, so geographically we could argue Studio City/Burbank/Hollywood.

Yes, from the top of the Hollywood Hill.
