How much content....

is a good amount to start a pay site? I have been accumulating some content over the last few months a little here and there trying to get enough to start a new project but how much do you actually need to start a pay site?

As the project develops I have a plan to update regularly but how much should there be to start with?

Any opinions on this?

A niche site needs less. Such as: objects, costumes (nurses, brides, etc), schoolgirl, voyeur, pantyhose, young lesbians (18-24), etc. I think you could start with 1000-3000 for a niche like that depending on how much you will charge, if you will have feeds, etc. Check out our content. We have most niches including unusual stuff : )

Do members even care about pictures anymore? Theres like 40 million pics floating around they can grab at any time. Is that really a selling point? Do you get more signups if you have 500,000 pictures instead of 250,000 pictures?

And who's gonna count if the site has that many pics? Especially if they're crap?
I'd prefer pictorials, vids, feeds and exclusive items like certain models and even adult themed comics.

it's definately better if you have 300,000 pics instead of 250,000.... looks way pro.... 250,000 is still small time.

This, like all similar comments, assumes that every picture has a value of =1. "Why pay to get pictures when there are free pictures?"

The answer is because people like some pictures more than others. If they can't find enough of what they want for free, they'll pay to find more. This is especially true of niche content. My own pay site chugs along with some members who've been with me for going on two years. Why? They like my photography and the kind of girls I get and the tone of the site. I dare say they are not hanging in there for what little video is on the site. Sure, the stuff on my site is the same stuff I sell to you guys, but quite frequently they see it first on my pay site before bumping into it elsewhere.

True. In fact, I usually do better pushing these sites than the sites with 500 gigs of general porn crap.
