America has only gay presidents. Dont impeach them - fuck them! :winkwink:

Hmm I think you are confused on many of those issues. Most were from before Bush, or are not true.

He'll win it I have no doubt.

Al Gore isn't running from what I've seen (especially since his kid just got busted). When he was VP, obscenity prosecutions were at a low point. Republicans have had a history of going after obscenity cases much more strongly then Democrats. That is fact, not fluff.

For a guy who is so "small government", he wants the government to ban our ability to buy prescription drugs from other countries, ban how much we can donate to a candidate, ban our ability to speak out against a candidate, pumping more money into medicare, banning our ability to sue insurance companies, not allow us to opt out of social security, wants to add internet taxes, fund abstinence education from the government, limiting what self-employed people can deduct for health care, voted against reducing the marriage penalty, and increase spending on drug control.

As for science, he still doesn't believe what the majority of scientists believe on warming, he is against types of stem cell research, and against a separation of church and state in school.

I can understand the view of not having the judicial branch make laws(although if they didn't, blacks would be slaves and drinking out of different water fountains, women wouldn't be voting, different races couldn't marry, our country would end at the Mississippi, you could be convicted of getting a blowjob in your bedroom, wouldn't be able to buy contraceptives if married, have to learn the Bible in science class, no one would have a right to a lawyer, police would have limitless ways of interogation, death penalty would be mandatory, and so on). When I meant he was anti-justice system, I was also referring to the fact he doesn't support the decisions made by them in enforcing the laws. He also doesn't believe we should be allowed to file lawsuits against big companies.

Protest in public - Bush and the Secret Service created "free speech zones" for when he speaks. They allow him to move protesters miles away from where he is. There are pending lawsuits on this.

Challenge Detention - Just look up the Military Commissions Act of 2006.

Charged with a crime that wasn't a law at the time - Also see Military Commissions Act of 2006.

Flag Draped Coffins - Bush Administration has put a policy on the DOD not to release or allow any photos of the flag draped coffins. They have fought attempts to have them released under Freedom of Information Act.

Show Support/Non-Support for Candidate - McCain/Feingold Act

Phone/Library/Email/Search/Etc - See Patriot Act

Pornography - See huge increase in obscenity indictments.

I am basing my opinion on what the majority of scientists believe. I don't know what causes it, just saying I'd probably support what the scientists believe.

dig420 07-05-2007 02:24 PM

dems don't have the balls for it, they leave attacking, defaming, slandering and impeaching to the irresponsible repubs. Too bad, because I say fight fire with fire.

aico 07-05-2007 02:24 PM

The problem isn't Bush. The problem is that no one will actually do anything about it, ever. We have become a bend over and take it up the ass society, and until that changes, nothing will ever get better.

He's pro-life, anti-gay, anti-science, anti-judicial branch. He's really gravitated toward the evangelicals and a prominent one has even came out and said that his wife would be a champion for cracking down on pornography.

I like him on fiscal issues though, which is about it. I'm just curious why you'd risk your business over supporting someone the blogs conservative blogs think is cool? I put my family before some blogs.

Because he pushes the John Wayne button, and repubs are always looking for daddy figures to worship and take direction from.

Bi partisian act first off, secondly was introduced in 95.

Ok another flag on the coffin pictures.

Policy was around since 1991

If I recall that would of been around the time Clinton was elected.

All the time I have today, but the others can be easily disputed. And some dont apply to American citizens, only to enemy combatants.

Bipartisan means nothing to me (I don't give a shit about parties), and the one in 95 was blocked by Republicans and for good reason. The one in 2002 was signed, and it was signed by President Bush into law. It should have been vetoed.

It doesn't matter if the policy was around in 1776, Bush is enforcing it today. Clinton wasn't in power till 1993, and the article even states that policy wasn't really enforced during his tenure. Still, when it was done in 1991, it was wrong, just as it is now. I guess if Bush had slaves it would be OK since Jefferson did at one time.

And the others aren't refutable. I have tons of other things, like making the FCC fines so ridiculous for indecency that a radio station can be put out of business for one curse word.

All Presidents try to take our rights away. Bush has done more than many in recent memory though.

I rarely start political threads. I just respond to them. There are a lot of people on here with more than 23 posts per day that do just fine for themselves.

He was also a mole for the Nixon white house during watergate. You go girl.

He ain't got a fucking chance, just like all the repubs this time around. The dems are taking in so much more money this time around. It's swinging back towards the normal people again, and away for nutjobs like sticky. Only problem is it''s gonna take more than a decade to clean up clown boys mess.

Sysgenix 07-05-2007 07:30 PM

People don't realize that democrats win there will be quite a few things going down which won't help anyone:
1. Capital gains will be back to 30% base.
2. Mortgages will be not tax deductibe over $380k loan amount
3. Unions will be formed in every company possible.
