What software 2 capture Windows screen action?

What software do you use to capture action from your Window screen and save it into AVI movie file? Is there one that can capture from a section of a screen to multiple monitors full screens setup?

I recommend CamStudio (v2.0 not above!)
http://www.camstudio.org

use the CSCD codec to capture and then some other for distribution (divx, xvid, wmv, etc). Capture voice uncompressed and then use mp3 at 56kbps or so for distribution.

Also, DebugMode Wink. It allows you to create Flash screen captures of anything on the desktop.

I wrote about the release of the newer version (2.1) a while ago... but I'm to lazy to translate, so here:

btw, beware of camstudio ripoffs (since camstudio is open source, some modified the code to make their 'own' product)... such as this one

lmfao!
