China
There have been debates here in the past about China and whether they will over take the US and emerge as the next world super power. I have argued that they are going to take over, and quite fast. With the US going further and further into debt fighting wars that can't be won, China is quietly taking over. The arguments are simple, they have the numbers, the knowledge, and the means of production necessary to produce goods at a fraction of the price others can, not to mention that they could care less about their natural environment. You would be silly to argue that China cares about anything other than productivity and progress.
Regardless of what you believe, the fact that Chrysler is beginning to produce cars in China speaks volumes about how far they have come in the last decade or two and shows where they are headed. Argue as you will, but understand that barring any major conflict or sanction, China is the future. The business people and politicians know it. The difference is that the politicians won't admit it yet. Link to the article about Chrysler

According to current projections, the Chinese economy will be twice the size of the American economy in 2050.
