You can dismiss my opinion on anything & everything you wish tiger.

I still don't get it. White people aren't allowed to call Tupac a "studio gangster" , but a black person can? Oh, you have to live on the streets to understand what you see on MTV, right?

nofx 01-27-2005 02:05 AM

tupac is better

Eminem - The Way I Am

reynold 01-27-2005 02:09 AM

I think both are great rappers. They both have their own style. :thumbsup

haha you think hes one of the top rappers ever but you're not a fan? typical backbacker mentality to name someone that other people think is the top underground mc as the top rapper ever even though you dont really like him.

Theo 01-27-2005 02:18 AM

No comparison. I don't think anyone even comes close to 2pac. I'll give 10 tracks that cover his large variety in music.

Teardrops And Closed Caskets
Hit Em Up
Changes
Made Niggaz
To Live And Die In LA
Str8 Ballin
Pain
Life Goes On
Dear Mama
Smoke Weed All Day

Now give 2 tracks of eminem that don't sound the same. :)

PHPdude 01-27-2005 02:34 AM

i hope them both kill each other at the same time, i hate both of them

BlueWire 01-27-2005 02:57 AM

I know most will say tupac but i'm more of an eminem fan myself...Both are good though

beemk 01-27-2005 03:01 AM

fiddy rappers

DWB 01-27-2005 03:05 AM

You really won't be able to compare the 2 until Eminem is dead. Though I do think Tupac is over rated.

In theory all lyricists are poets. Tupac was just another rapper to me. I'd rather listen to Biggie. :thumbsup

i would say lyrics: 2pac & flow: eminem

Rui 01-27-2005 03:44 AM

Eminem is only brutal at onething: sucking...

edit: nice work bringing back from the dead a thread from 2002

QuaWee 01-27-2005 02:40 PM

Eminem has nothing on Tupac, get the hell out of here with that!

sweetME 01-27-2005 03:31 PM

I choose 50 cent. He's the best.

DX 01-27-2005 03:34 PM

Newer (last 2 albums) Eminem blows his old shit away..

Indica 01-27-2005 03:36 PM

love eminem.
what about snoop, dudes a pimp.

69pornlinks 01-27-2005 03:38 PM

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh how can you even compare the two..if Pac was alive he wouldv'e been the only one to step to m about that shit he say a few years back... :1orglaugh pac vs. m you need to be slapped for makng this thre4ad :321GFY :321GFY

Paco, of Large Cash. 01-27-2005 03:40 PM

Eminem ... LOL. I am sure even he is surprised at his popularity.

Tupac was great (not the best) in his time but he went downhill, in my eyes, when he started with the Christian rap (quoting the bible) ... excuse the fuck out of me?

The black messiah that thought he was going to set world on fijah.

I made the mistake of asking a 17 year old girl what her favorite rap groups were and she listed underground, unsigned hype that I (or you Source reading motherfuckers) have never even heard of. It was at this point when I immediately realized I've passed into middle age (at 27).

But there is one thing you can point about these MTV whores. While the argument can be made that both Tupac Shakur and Marshall Mathers are media-created, over-produced, no talent bums - their oedipal complexes are a little different

Compare the lyrics of "Cleanin out my Closet" to "Dear Mama"...

Tupac's shit rises above the "disrespect my mother for shock value" tone that Em's wack-ass production company came up with.

And on that note: Everyone seems to say "Eminem's old shit was great." Can someone please give me an example of an old Eminem song worth downloading?

Just my :2 cents:

ya eminem and tupacs music is priceless and there almost the only two, i actually bought most there albums! They deserve my money. You obviously know nothing about rap and these 2 have helpeed build it to what it is today! tupac and biggie changed rap until there death! RIP PAC

sweetME 01-27-2005 04:52 PM

Fine, I'll go with DMX. I like his voice, very powerful.

paulapays 01-27-2005 04:57 PM

I agree. Tupac was a decent poet but I was never much of a fan of his music. Biggi has better cuts in my opinion. But hey, it's all subjective.

pornstar2pac 01-27-2005 08:11 PM

tupac is the best. there will never be anyone like him again.

maybe Ja Rule, but that's it

wargames 01-27-2005 08:22 PM

Eminem is cool. :pimp

irishfury 01-27-2005 08:26 PM

2pac the greatest of all time

I see mothers in black cryin, brothers in packs dyin
Plus everybody's high, too doped up to ask why
Watchin our own downfall, witness the end
It's like we don't believe in God cause we livin in sin
I asked my homie on the block why he strapped, he laughed
Pointed his pistol as the cop car passed and blast
It's just another murder, nobody mourns no more
My tear drops gettin bigger but can't figure what I'm cryin for
Is it the miniature caskets, little babies
Victims of a stray, from drug dealers gone crazy
Maybe it's just the drugs, visions of how the block was
Crack came and it was strange how it rocked us
Perhaps the underlyin fact stay high explain genocide
It's when we ride on our own kind
What is it we all fear, reflections in the mirror
We can't escape fate, the end is gettin nearer

[Chorus 2X: 2Pac]
Who do you believe in?
I put my faith in God, blessed and still breathin
And even though it's hard, that's who I believe in
Before I'm leavin, I'm askin the grievin - who do you believe in?

[Verse Two: 2Pac]
Can't close my eyes cause all I see is terror
I hate the man in the mirror
Cause his reflection makes the pain turn realer
Times of Armageddeon, murder in mass amounts
In this society where only gettin the cash counts
I started out as a beginner
Entered the criminal lifestyle became a sinner
I make my money and vacate, evade prison
Went from the chosen one to outcast, unforgiven
And all the Hennessy and weed can't hide, the pain I feel inside
You know, it's like I'm livin just to die
I fall on my knees and beg for mercy, not knowin if I'm worthy
Livin life thinkin no man can hurt me
So I'm askin -- before I lay me down to sleep
Before you judge me, look at all the shit you did to me, my misery
I rose up from the slums, made it out the flames
In my search for fame will I change? I'm askin

bary 01-27-2005 08:27 PM
