With the war still raging in Iraq and the possibility of invading Iran, I am putting money that bush will use this power to stay in office indefinitely.

It's either we will go to war with Iran, or there will be another terror attack, but I bet there will be something and this idiot will engage this.

Shortly after 12:00 pm eastern time, on January 20, 2009, George W. Bush will no longer be president.

I can't fathom what you suggest, and that is, our constitution being deemed irrelevant based on George's whim.

Under those circumstances yes! But! If the election has already happened! there may only be a delay in the progression! of maybe a few months at best! He is not going to be able to keep that up for any effective time period. And the backlash would be incredible.
