all those people let there domains expire? jeez

not across the board, no. some squatters let tm infringing domains expire for example that we grabbed for the tm holders. we have a whole service called TMproxy for this as well.

I can personally attest to this!

We didn't let anything expire; in our case the domains were tm infringers that let them go - usually after we have started proceedings against them.

Yeah,.. IPOWER is pretty shady IMO.

I recently had to let some domains go with them.

First they tried to charge me a couple hundred dollars and couldn't explain it.

Then my domains with them expired. I figured no big deal.. it's an expired domain. They sent it to collections LOL. :1orglaugh

interesting- i do not know ipower but the fees for getting your domain back in the redemption period are pretty normal. The collections punch line is a new one though. How did that end?

i never rely on registrars to remind me when to renew my domains. Simply write it on the calender or somewhere. I will never be at the mercy of some cyber squatter especially if i put so much hard work into developing it.
