F1 - Spa

This is by far the best track and Michael is hot to surpass Mansells record of 9 wins on the track he debut at in '91 and had his first F1 win at in '92.

What will Ferrari do though?
Give Michael the record or secure 2nd place for Rubins?

Guess we'll find out Sunday

Ferrari already stated that they wouldn't tell Schumacher to pull over for Rubens...

Read here

"Ferrari's technical director ruled out the possibility of Michael Schumacher pulling aside and gifting a win to the Brazilian, as Barrichello did for Schumacher in Austria, after the team's victory in Hungary. "

Plus they are already in hot water for having Rubens bull over for Schumacher earlier this year.

Like Schumi even needs anyone to pull over for him, do you REALLY think that if Reubens wasn't in a Ferrari Schumi wouldn't have been all over his diffusor for 40 laps?

Schumi could do it this weekend (depends on who gets the pole) but he also has Monza, and Suzuka (another one where he rules).

People really do follow F1?

I thought it was like Ukranian Dwarf Goat Racing... must be a regional thing. But then again, I didnt think people really liked Nascar till I moved to Michigan.

At least F1 has some culture, intrigue and technology in it.

Nascar is some relic from the white trash moonshine in the hills days. I don't understand how people get excited about cars driving in circles.

Barricello can secure second place without Schumacher's help as long as Ralf and JPM stay behind the both of them . . .
but, Ferrari will do what is necessary to end up 1 and 2.
The 10 wins for Schumi will then be the focus.

McLaren had a strong day. That Finnish kid looks like he's going to be hot shit.

And what the fuck is Villenueve thinking? He's out of F1 when this contract is up. He's managed to sabotage a nice career.

Got to be one of the best tracks on the F1 tour, if not THE best. Plenty of places to pass, looks nice, and has uphill and downhill. I think the pit lane is kind of long, but it didn't seem to be a factor.

Schumi is just too amazing. He blew everyone away right off the bat. He had some huge leads during the race, I think he was about 60 seconds ahead of third place at one point.

One thing about those long uphill starighaways - they were blowing engines like crazy at the end of the race! Seemed like four cars just blew up in the last few laps.

Spa is indeed the most exciting F1 race, head to head with Monaco.

Yo Steve, talking about blowing engines ... did you see that Honda engine literally explode in the last 1/4 of the race ? Think it was a Mugen Honda...
