who is the best company if you suffer DDOS?

hi guys

i made my own experience with it...i used prolexic.com they did very fine for me till the moment somebody started to hit me with dc ++ from that moment my sites were gone even with prolexic...so i called cisco up and they told me their cisco guard system with anamolyzer should face this kind of attacks.....and look today...i get hited by 750mbit and so far it performs...but im worried if they will increase attack in gigabit area....anybody you can recommend me ?

tx follows

Okay, question: What the heck are you running that merits such DDOS attacks? Have you considered other methods to resolve the issues that bring this on?

Are you running IRC on your server?

You will definitely want a host that has a 24hr well-staffed NOC. In the past we had good luck with Abovenet and their response was pretty quick. The staff was able to blackhole the IP getting hammered and resolved the issue.

well cisco works like this that it has a so called learning phase where it studies your traffic...preferrably 24h...then you define the filters etc...works very cool against dcc ++, syn flood, packets , udp ...really impressed...only problem i have is ...the network itself needs to be powerfull aswell.....so their i see on my site an issue...thats why i look for some really big provider who can hold from network site...

750mbit is nothing when it comes to ddos really. Prolexic couldn't handle that? That's strange.

Contact me via AIM if you are looking for ideas, and a provider than can hand off a 10ge connection or two and be able to withstand the inbound.

I also find it very curious that Prolexic could not handle this though.. I'd like to get a bit more information if possible.

Go with The Planet. They have all the hardward to protect you from such things... We once had to move hosting 10+ times (they were all saying they were good for it) before we found The Planet.

Tell them you have a DDOS problem and they will take care of you.

P.S. 750 mbits ddos isn't that big.

I had a major ddos on my servermatrix box and they had to blackhole my server until the attack was over

well dude the problem by prolexic was not the volume...they were fully vunerable to ddos...dont know how it is now..but i was full down and as i didnt want to loose my biz for nothing i had to make some nice deals with the flooders as i find out who it was.....anyway....about theplanet..they have nothing to offer really against this....750 mbit is not a problem..the problem is that the backbone providers mostly are lame...so in my case even i could handle the attack my backbone provider wanted to shut me down...had to convice this guys very hard and explain THEM what they had to fix on their site...as with CISCO you can handle 1 giga around per guard...if they reach more then 1 giga..im dead too....so far luckywise they couldnt overcome the 800mbit..but who knows for how long..

I'm sorry I haven't notice your post until now. Some guy was trying to blackmail me for 10k egold, of course I told him to GFY and he attacked me twice with something like 2g+ ddoses. I host all my servers with ISPRIME (30+ servers), they made some tweaks and we survived for a week until the guy got bored
