No, you're not. There are other laws that went into the effect that are tougher than 2257. And btw, from what I understand 2257 is kinna going through little by little and FSC is losing ground there.

Welp, I didn't re-up with them.. Got scammed by them once and It won't happen again. I know the money just goes to the lawyers...

Based off the inspects they had, being a member means shit. They inspected a real 2ndary producer, and asked for records.. Enough said.

Ok..here are my . As many know I used to work at FSC...
I can only comment on what happened and what I saw during my tenure there. Also remember that FSC is not the most TECH SAVY organization out there. They are a product of the OG video side of this thing of ours and trying to adapt to there members techie ways isnt that ezy.

Despite the lack of newsletters spoken about in this thread... they do go out on a regular basis. If you are a member and you are not recieving them contact them and ask them to update the NEWSLETTER email list. As this is most likely diffrent from the billing contact list.

In regards to the CASH just about all of it is spent on the LAWYERS and the LOBBIESTS. THe hours these teams put into cases like COPA, 2257, .xxx, WALSH ACT, etc... are tremendous and this is pre-trial hours we are talking.Much research and prep. from countless LAWYERS and PARALEGALs goes into this and these people dont work for free but many work at reduced rates for the FSC.

Before I departed there were talks of a "white sheet" was beging prepared and sent out to memebrs quarterly so they can see an exact reporting of how their donations are being spent.... Dont know if it every went into effect

Also FSC is not a regular non-profit entity. You can write of the donations as a business expense but not a complete write off like donating to MultipleScilrosis or Breast Cancer.
