California has very strict laws in regards to filing for a 501(C)(3) charitable corp, as they also have the most aggresive secondary filings required not by the Federal government, but to the state as well. The application process alone is just plain silly when considering the amount of work to get approved. If anyone cared enough, some answers could be found, moreso specifically if you are a donating party.

It would be interesting to read updates on their progress. One group I do fully support is ASACP. Epic Cash is also behind them as you can see on our sites

One thing is I dont think you should need to become a member of these organizations to sport their logo on your site. I'm not sure if FSC is like this but ASACP is like this because they have to approve your site.

I agree with you. "If someone wants to pay me, I'll do the legwork." is most likely the feeling most would have. I'm not even saying they ARE doing anything wrong. I am just saying it would be possible to find out.

its funny how people react to this thread - its a legit question.

people would be blown away if they knew the actual percentage that goes directly to a cause they donate to and what % goes to the admin ect of a "non-profit" organization.

Trey is not a not for profit organization I am donating to in order to assist and speak on behalf of me as an industry. So I could care less what he is or is not.

Nice fake nick. You must be with the FSC. A true not for profit corporation would open their books and disclose where they are spending your money. It's not like we do not know that people need to be paid for their work. That's part of running business... people need to eat.

What he is accusing them of is spending their bank interest on fighting suits, not the majority of the cash. I personally will enjoy seeing how they come back at this question (that is, if they even bother responding).
