The graphics and music are great and the fact that it is a LOTR world is great too, but it's just boring. Lack of PVP(PvM is not fun) and lack of many dungeons.... It's hard to find groups too. People are quitting fast, from what I read in the forums. I am a level 17 Loremaster on Brandywine and I just cancelled, though I have a couple weeks left on my subscription. I don't think I will play it much, unless it gets better fast.

it's boring, there's auto attack and then you keep hitting the buttons for your skills, like most other MMORPGS(I think the combat systems in WoW and DDO are better and more fun though).

I liked the music ability thing (was awesome listening to someone play the theme of Zelda LOL), and the animation of the capes in that game is awesome... but that was ALL I liked about that game. Sad really, it had a chance to actually compete with WoW.

Yeah, but they have to do it fairly quick. The more serious gamers that try it out and get pissed off won't be coming back even if they add that down the road. Every day they wait that's another "lifelong" customer they will lose.

I bought it and played until level 13 and I have to say, it is a beautiful game, BUT it's lacking something in the gameplay department, it just doesn't keep my attention.

One think that I definately don't like is the fact that it takes a little bit longer to level than other games. I do realize that they do have a lower level cap than other games, so it's gonna take longer, but I'd rather have a game with 100 levels that happen more often.

Oh yeah, I guess that the lack of races/classes doesn't go well in my books. I know, I know, it's LOTR, there's not a lot of options for races/classes, but it sucks, ha ha

Im level 22 now. Im playing every day. I havent worked since i have this game. Seriously. Look at my posts on gfy....i even hardly posted. Im only playing this game. Its so addicting.

Slick: I agree its a bit slow when you start. And eventhough i already liked the game a lot, after level 20 it even got better. Way better. Big group quests and way more action. It gets more addicting with every new level i reach.

it's ok, I guess, but WoW is much better.. I got to level 20, but I haven't played in a few days cuz my hands fucking hurt from tendinitis(I shouldn't b e typing at all prbly for at least a week)... I can never find a fucking group in the game, prbly cuz I am a loremaster, I dunno...

Well WOW has had all the time to develop. LOTR is still very new and will have many updates to come. I mean as a game it isnt worse than WOW just newer.

Groups are kinda hard to find around level 18 because noone wants you but now im 23 (since 10 mins) and i have no problems finding people.

The game really starts to live after level 20.

Im starting to explore new areas and it just keeps amazing me. Such amazing landscapes. Just walking in them alone is worth the money. The areas you start in kinda suck but later it really gets amazing. You really get that feeling like you see in the movies where they run forever through the hills and forests.

I heard the game sucks after lvl 35... I've heard many different opinions though(also heard it gets better at 20, that's the main reason why I didn't ditch it earlier).... supposedly not much end game content

I just think the game is ok. I've been waiting to see if it gets better. There are not many dungeons from what I hear, which sucks. I'm going to play till I get through Great Barrows and see if the game gets any better. If it doesn't, I'd rather play WoW or DDO. LOTRO just doesn't seem "fun:. The graphics and music are excellent though and the setting in the LOTR world is cool, but it just isn't as fun as WoW without a lot of cool dungeons(from what I hear) and lack of true PVP(Monster play doesn't count, it it boring IMO).

The game is at its best 40-50 if you find a solid group to do Angmar with. I spent about a week with the same group every night questing through Angmar for about 10 hours each time.

Oh man the great barrows take so much time to get through. You just keep coming back with new people and new quests. But so much. Im finally done there and move to a new area. But i totally enjoyed that part.

As much of a LotR fan as I am, and as much of a RPG player as I am, I'm not really into MMOs, I value the story behind a game and the gameplay too much to play those. Not that I have anything against those who play them...or shooters...or racers...of FIFA. Keep at it!:thumbsup

There is a huge content update coming with more races and dungeons and other stuff. See, it just takes some time. I think 6 months from now it will really compete with WOW.

Watch what you say if you play this game. I just got banned for joking saying "Throw a couple of faggots on the fire". Faggots are bundles of wood and they often say this exact thing in the books. I got banned without warning and in reading the forums, a lot of people are getting banned without warning for the smallest thing. Can't even talk about politics... Another reason this game is pissing me off. I wasn't overly impressed, but wanted to check out the Great Barrow before deciding to renew. So I login after not playing for almost a week and first the game crashes twice in the GB(never crashed before btw). Then I said what I mentioned above and got banned for no reason... Fuck this game

Hmm well for some reason i already took it easy on the chat. I already had the feeling they might be really strict there.

The great barrows is the first big multi person quest in the game and thats where it really starts i'd say. Actually its many quests and you keep coming back there. Its kinda tricky to find a good group to go in. Healers are most hard to find.

And yeah youre not the only one with problems there. But i think its solved. When i played there about a week ago i had problems as well just like many other people in the group. Game crashing, people thrown out etc. But i think its fixed.

Im level 28 now btw.

I got bored with it after a week.
