That he was.

I'll miss his posts, his eloquence was a ray of sunshine in a sea of turmoil.

Very sorry to hear of his passing.

Cory W 06-17-2007 08:12 PM

Very sad news. Hopefully he loved life and lived it to its fullest. This serves as a tough reminder as to how short and random all of our lives are.

gleem 06-17-2007 08:18 PM

Yeah, I think I first ran into him at your board back around '02 or '03. The amount of knowledge he gave everyone over there could have been made into an E-Book.

I tried to search for some of it not long ago.

mattz 06-17-2007 10:12 PM

Very sorry to hear that, r.i.p

Oh for sure didn't matter what the issue was Jayeff always had a calm and and soothing way to put things into perspective. I knew he was ill but i didn't know he was that bad. My condolences to his family and rest in peace Jayeff :(

High Plains Drifter 06-17-2007 11:20 PM

the Shemp 06-17-2007 11:32 PM

jayeff had a logical way of explaining his point of view on an issue...he definitely took time to think out his posts..no doubt he had a solid business background long before the adult internet...rest in peace, bro

I propose mods to turn his nickname to RED & bold so from now on whenever someone browses old topic looking for some informative post to notice Jayeff's ones. Kind of a small tribute.

Tim 06-18-2007 05:33 AM

RIP Jayeff.

Tim 06-18-2007 05:35 AM

RIP Jayeff.

StarkReality 06-18-2007 05:44 AM

My condolences, I didn't know him personally, but I always enjoyed his interesting and intelligent posts.

Trixxxia 06-18-2007 05:52 AM

Jayeff did quite a lot of work for me. We chatted long hours together and I will tell you that in all my years of picking brains, jayeff was by far one of the most intelligent men with a wealth of diverse knowledge and took seconds to figure out how the rules apply in any situation. This is an incredible loss to the industry. It's rare you will find someone so intelligent and with all that knowledge willing to give you anything. John may not have had much other than his intelligence, experience and his health issues but he was happy and grateful for every breath he took and every opportunity to help. I will sadly miss him.

Rest in Peace, John

Thank you all for your kind words and the lovely things you have said about Jayeff. We will all miss him.

The bad news is he left a lot of debt in my name, and the only asset he had were his sites. I need desperately to sell them to help pay final expenses. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You will probably want to use Sedo or Ebay to sell off his domains, once you have figured out how to login to his registrar & unlock the ownership details.

Then you can start a thread here to announce the auctions.

well then with the help of his hosting company and webmasters who he confided in track down all the sites he owned, all the domains, and then come back here with a list, maybe there's good value to what he had. in this business it wouldn't surprise any of us if a vulture came to you and offered alot less than what it was all worth.

Be sure to ask around and get good value for the assets. Don't get low balled by a scumbag trying to take advantage of the situation.

Sorry if this sounds a little cold but I'm suprised he didn't leave instructions with his nearest & dearest on how to manage his online assets in the event of his death especialy if he knew his time was comming.
