TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran's parliament on Wednesday voted in favor of a bill that could lead to death penalty for persons convicted of working in the production of pornographic movies.

With a 148-5 vote in favor and four abstentions, lawmakers present at the Wednesday session of the 290-seat parliament approved that "producers of pornographic works and main elements in their production are considered corruptors of the world and could be sentenced to punishment as corruptors of the world."

The term, "corruptor of the world" is taken from the Quran, the Muslims' holy book, and ranks among the highest on the scale of an individual's criminal offenses. Under Iran's Islamic Penal Code, it carries a death penalty.

The "main elements" refered to in the draft include producers, directors, cameramen and actors involved in making a pornographic video.

The bill also envisages convictions ranging from one year imprisonment to a death sentence for the main distributors of the movies and also producers of Web sites in which the pornographic works would appear.

Besides videos, the bill covers all electronic visual material, such as DVD and CDs. Other material, such as porn magazines and books are already banned under Iranian law.

To become law, the bill requires an approval by the Guardian Council, a constitutional watchdog in Iran.

A few of my lib friends in school stand up for that country all the time, telling me, or trying to convince me, Iran is so free and have come so far, women can wear shorts blah blah blah. I just sent this article to 3 of them and with the subject saying, "But they can wear shorts"

It's funny for 8 years we heard from the rumor mill, Bush is going to take down porn no more porn, and all those people freaked themselves out over it, convincing themselves it was going to happen. It hasn't happened, it won’t happen and they will not see it, look at it, or acknowledge it. They just move on the to the next bullshit headline they can freak themselves out over!

SO FUNNY!!! I love politics. Never a dull moment I tell ya! But I will say, if Hillary gets in office, all the people who were afraid that Bush was going to take down porn, better get ready because that bitch will TRY to fuck it up for sure. She won't be able too, but she will do her best to make it hard. (no pun intended, I don't think she knows how to make it hard haha)

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants think about that
