Any specific reason you're doing VB? That's a bit like taking a bazooka to a knife fight.

Anyhow, it's not my bag, but here's a starter for whomever wants to undertake this task.

its for my desktop PC to make folder mass renaming in windowns XP. If you know some easier way, it's OK, it can be an exe app or some other script that can make the same job and cost the same big money to write
