Google Complains About Microsoft's Vista

Yahoo Link to Article

Quote:
Internet search leader Google Inc. is trying to convince federal and state authorities that Microsoft Corp.'s Vista operating system is stifling competition as the high-tech heavyweights wrestle for the allegiance of personal computer users.

Besides bogging down competing programs, Google alleged Microsoft had made it too complicated to turn off the desktop search feature built into Vista.

My personal opinion. I took Vista off my laptop. What a piece of shit OS it is.

I dont have it and dont want it. And what pisses me off about MS is that you can not buy a computer with a choice of what you want any more.

I remember my first Dell. I called them, and at the end, they asked what OS I wanted.
Now, you just get the latest MS OS.

I am glad I haven't purchased Vista for any of my machines. It looked way overpriced too.

I hear you loud and clear.

I heard a rumor that some laptops and PC's Bios don't support anything but Vista. WTF! if this is true. And to boot, no pun intended, the Mother Board makers don't have a bios to support anything else. IMO I think this is suicide for computer makers, because I sure as shit would send the unit back.

I suppose in the future, MS will not release updates for XP making it impossible to work without their Vista ...

Same here. I found a lot of my old software didnt work with Vista. Too bad all new laptops and desktops come with Vista. It's a pain deleting it and installing XP.

"Google Raises Antitrust Concerns"...this is too funny. Google is MUCH scarier than Microsoft ever was, their behaviour is much more agressive.

Microsoft may control your PC, but Google tries to control your mind !
