LAJ shout outs and thanks you's for Cybernet Expo Tampa!
Yes... I'm pulling out the stops and finally doing up one of these.
Tampa was an awesome host city! So glad we had the show there. I love Tampa. The Hilton Westshore was very enthusiastic about having us there and it showed in their hospitality, efficiency and friendliness. Easily the best hotel staff I've ever worked with from the GM to the Food and Beverage director, to the engineer, front desk and custodial... very understanding to our needs and very tolerant to our antics (even tho the show was tame). The fact that the hotel was very near the airport, tons of restaurants and shops, and a short ride to many clubs was a bonus. Everytime we needed something done, the hotel was right on it. Made my job much easier and removed a lot of stress so I could actually enjoy myself and focus on whatever task at hand that needed to be done on the spot. Not to mention the bottomless VIP blue mug they gave me that was glued to my hand much of the day... and yes, it was filled with coffee until at least noon every day ;) OK... now on to thank you's and shout outs! First off... Fay and Dave... congrats on 10 years. No small feat for a true mom and pop tradeshow operation that has withstood the test of time. Thanks for putting your trust in me as always to let me do my best work and letting me take the liberties that I do. The YNOT and Truecash crew... Darklady you continue to kick ass, CDawg always great to see you... Dave Cummings you are the man. Connor Young, shit, I wouldn't even know where to begin. My partner in crime and in grime. Not only are you cool with letting my freak flag fly, you encourage it and are amused by it. Thanks for all your hard work on the show and dealing with my venting.  Eric Bernstein - Thanks for the support, the meals, the humor, the knowledge and the good times. You were a big part of the show. Nice mug Btw...  Lee Noga - I'll tell you for the 100th time how great you look. Thanks for your work at the reg. desk. JFK - You Fubared the hell out of me... I guess I should know better than to hang with you in tight quarters for any signficant period of time... even I got sick of looking at my pics LOL ;) SexMoney - Ines and Mike... the Limo ride ruled. Thanks for it and for my putting up with my antics. You guys are a class act.  Treasurebucks - CJ and Kiwigirl... thanks for all your research in helping us find a place and for your hospitality in Tampa. HowIgotrich - Dirty D and Graphic Dude... thanks for dinner, the glory hole tour and the stop off at Seven Seas. You guys really know how to make a visitor feel welcome. So did Jersey at Seven Seas. Those of you who missed Julie's band... please bend over now and kick yourself in the ass. I can't get over how great they sounded... we have some SERIOUSLY talented people in this industry. Moved by the music, I asked Julie to marry me... but alas, I wasn't worthy. J, THe show was really great. I had more fun and did more business than I ever expected.
(not that I didn't expect much, just that it exceeded any and all expectations) Also, the hotel and area were perfect for our biz. 5 minutes away from several awesome restaurants, etc. etc. This show should double in size for next year because of the good buzz.

I hope they have it in the same location next year so I can try a few more of the local restaurants, the food was great! When you feel comfortable somewhere I think the food must taste better. The atmosphere there was great and the structure of everything was perfect, the hard work and planning that went into things showed for sure. |
