Use your experience as an affiliate is the number one thing I could suggest. You will be pushing a site, and marketing as an affiliate manager to people who have been and are in the same spot you we're for a long time.

What tools did you need as an affiliate, what tools did you want? What could somebody from a sponsor you we're working with do to make your life easier promoting.

As for what to charge, and how to make money personally from the deal... that's a highly personal matter. Some people like salaries, some people like commissions... often times you can find a balance point. You have to gauge for yourself what you are worth, what kind of business you can generate, and what price your potential company will have to come forward with to make it both worth your time, and theirs.

The problem is with that is, you will bring in say 100 affiliates and 5 of them will send a single sale. While that works to your advantage, you would earn more maybe if you targeted a few whales and took say 10%. You would also get a nice recurring income from that as well.

Now... you could ask for a flat fee IF you brought someone in and they made X amount of sales. So say you get paid X as soon as they send X amount sales, otherwise the system is flawed and too easy to fraud.
