when I first started listening to Howard in the late 80's it drove me nuts, i knew his voice reminded me of somebody, for months it drove me crazy because I couldn't put the two together - then it just hit me, Hawkeye from MASH, Alan Alda. Then a few months later a caller or a guest said the same thing and Howard said the comparison was a common one.

This guy you can tell has no sense of humor - the best funny Howard impression ever was done on SNL by Michael McKean around when Private Parts the book came out.
