I'll have to remember that one..

Whatever happened to the woj 50 bot ?

BobG 06-07-2007 02:17 AM

let Lanny Barbie ass rape you with a strap-on at a show. It's pretty much initiation for Bro Club

Mr. Mojo Risin 06-07-2007 02:49 AM

I'd say get a mainstream job and go to college if you haven't, unless you really want to make a "career" out of porn. Also, save money for a rainy day. I don't see why a newbie would want to get into porn now. It isn't the same as it was when I was a newb back around 1997. It was easy money then. That's why I quit college, and I regret it.

en21 06-07-2007 02:50 AM

start with some capital.. don't expect things for free

Sarah_Jayne 06-07-2007 02:57 AM

put some money up and stop thinking everything is free..buy your own domain instead of begging for a sponsor to buy you one..same deal with hosting..because in the long run it is much better to be the one in total control of those things.

I realize all the points you made are valid.
However, I would like a low overhead to start up the money making.
I beleive this is not only beneficial to me, but to the sponsor as well.
(Since I intend on working 20+ hours a day)

I do have short term and long term goals, which include 'total control' in the future. Right now this is not a possibility and I'd appreciate it if you would see it from my side and understand this.

No offense, but I hope your attitude is not that of the company that you're representing. You're showing a total lack of willingness to cooperate and help your affiliates, IMO.

I have no start up capital.. so I'm looking for "investors" aka sponsors that will help the little guy.

The little guy of today may be the big guy of tomorrow.. :2 cents:

Make ONE great site in a niche you personally enjoy, then ...

promote, promote, promote

aico 06-07-2007 03:29 AM

Move out of the US.

scottybuzz 06-07-2007 05:23 AM

My advice is once that you find something that makes you money. dont stop it, and run it on autopilot and start something new. Duplicate it 10 times and make 10x the money.

Juicy D. Links 06-07-2007 05:26 AM

get as many BROSSSSSSSSSSS as u can

da man 06-07-2007 05:27 AM

my advice: make love 3 times a day. dont do more nor less.

Paul Markham 06-07-2007 05:27 AM

Play the members game not the surfers or affiliates game. Three different people looking for different things.

Think like the person you are selling to. Try to understand why he buys, what motivates him and what will satisfy him.

It's also a very tough road for a newbie today. Keep building bookmarkers by giving them a reason to come back.

So why are you different than the 500 other noobs on the board that are in the same situation?

Advice.. Don't quit your day job until you are solid in what you are doing and don't ask for handouts.

mattz 06-07-2007 10:37 PM

you just joined 2 days ago, have 225 posts, which shows you are a total newbie. Real webmasters dont have enough time to post 100+ times per day. Stop acting like your an adult webmaster, and try harder at your burger king job.

Your powers of observation are mind boggling.

I know I'm not a "Real Webmaster" like you, but that is one of my long term goals.

Maybe you could help me become more like you.

I'll quit my Burger King job tomorrow!

It's not really one sided, I'm not big bling or making big money. I did adult for 3 years or so before I went full time. Main reason was I needed the other job for other reasons than just money.

I still haven't replaced the total amount I made from both incomes, however I wouldn't go back to doing the other stuff I did. So I'm speaking from experance not from one side but from both.

Donkey Punch 06-08-2007 05:01 PM

Which by the way is another tip for newbies.

If you're committed to something don't be afraid to ask for help to accomplish your task :)

As it was once told to me "The squeaky wheel gets oiled".

After Shock Media 06-08-2007 05:14 PM

Pick one niche, one domain, one idea, and stick with it until it works. Do not purchase other things for the backburner or whatever. To many people try to have like 10 things going at once and none are going at all.

Just what we need - more idiots with crappy cameras that think they are photogaphers. Last night while loading up some content for my blog I downloaded some content and had to correct the damn lighting on the photos because the photographer can't even take a good looking photo.

As for newbies..... Think about your screen name because it will follow you around for the rest of your career in the industry. In my case, my name is pronounced "ROCK HARD" which leads to rumors that I'm hung like a can of soda pop - which works fine for me.

DO NOT name yourself [your first name] [company name] because no matter what you WILL leave that company. And if your the owner, well, you still shouldn't do it - because then in the future it will be that much more difficult to sell your company.

squizzel 06-08-2007 08:46 PM

listen to what i have to say very carefully... the principal relates to SEO but can be transfered to other aspects of this business....

Ok, your goal today is to do something that will make you sales forever. Create some text, optimize for some longtail keywords, rank for stuff that is easy to rank for. If u do something today that creates u income forever (Or atleast a year) and you continue doing this day in day out... All these sales every 2 weeks start to add up. Soon you are doing 10 sales per day... 20 sales per day... the sky is the limit.

So in laymans terms, do something today that you will benift from forever. If you cant figure out what to do then you dont deserve to make money in the first place.

he-fox 06-08-2007 08:56 PM

when more than 1 ppl tells you you're annoying, you should actually think about it.
