the interaction with the Camera and Phone to me is one of the best features. Even if they came out with a Mouse type pad the you can just lay a phone on or a camera and have it connect like that would be cool.

yeah man, we are getting oversatured with all kinds of devices we need to connect to our computers.......a fancy solution like that will help us enjoy all our peripherals and their possibilities much more
